[SN E7 8903] USED RICKENBACKER / 610 Fireglo [06]

We've just received a used Rickenbacker 610 Fireglo!
This solid-body model features the 620 body shape but is characterized by its simple look, with no binding and dot inlays.
Production has since ceased, and the unit we’ve just received was manufactured in 1994.

It features a maple through-neck, a compact and easy-to-handle maple body, and a lacquered rosewood fingerboard.
While it originally came with two high-gain pickups, the front pickup on this particular guitar has been replaced with a Toaster pickup, and the rear pickup with an HB-1. The difference in output between the front and rear pickups actually improves the balance when mixed, resulting in a surprisingly easy-to-handle sound. Additionally, since the HB-1 is no longer manufactured new, it has become a rare find.
Unlike models equipped with Rick-O-Sound systems, such as the 620, this guitar has only a single mono output jack.
It features original Schaller tuners and a Branco tailpiece with a distinctive “R” logo.
All electronics other than the pickups are original.

There are cigarette burn marks on the headstock, and stand burn marks are visible at the base of the headstock.
There is paint chipping on the tip of the back of the headstock and around the outer edge of the body, as well as other scratches and minor dents consistent with its age.
Since its arrival, it has been cleaned, fully adjusted, and the frets have been leveled; while the frets are on the low side, they are still playable for a Rickenbacker, which is known for its low frets.

Another highlight is the smooth, curved line from the left side of the body top to the side, made possible by the absence of binding. Please consider this 610 model, which is now even rarer to find than the 620.
