A 2001 instrument crafted by Art Esparza, who worked alongside John English, Mark Kendrick, and others, and rose to the rank of senior luthier under the guidance of JW BLACK.
It shows surprisingly little wear and remains in such excellent condition that it’s hard to believe it’s been a quarter-century since it was made. One of its distinctive features is the fingerboard—made of what appears to be South American rosewood—which is round-laid, while the controls are stacked, creating a unique configuration.
It comes with a brown Tolex case, certificate of authenticity, and a pickguard.
