We've received a used Proco / RAT Blackface.
This is an early version of the RAT, a classic distortion pedal beloved by countless musicians both in Japan and abroad. It is a model from the period known as “Blackface.”
Based on the pot date, it is believed to have been manufactured around 1986.
The thick, edgy distortion sound is unique to this pedal. Compared to the current RAT, there are noticeable differences in the presence of the mids and the tightness of the lows.
