[SN A 003649 93] USED WARWICK / 1993 Thumb Bass 4 [05]

We’ve received an excellent example of a 1993 Warwick Thumb Bass “Made in Germany” that shows surprisingly little wear.

This is the Thumb Bass, an original model by founder Hans-Peter Wilfer that has become an icon of the German company Warwick. Unlike the Streamer series—which was inspired by the Spector NS-2 (and shares a nearly identical shape)—this model features a compact body, a 26-fret fingerboard, and the use of bubinga wood, which defines its unique sound. These distinctive design elements continue to be favored by players around the world to this day.The light, percussive sound derived from the bubinga wood offers a tone unlike any other bass, and combined with the unlimited versatility provided by the MEC 3-band active tone control, it is sure to stimulate the player’s creativity.

There are virtually no scratches overall; the only visible mark is a slight scuff on the 4th string side of the front pickup. It remains in an incredibly well-preserved condition with minimal signs of use.
