[SN 251591] USED Fender / 1968 Telecaster Blond [05]
Serial number 251591, neck date 3MAY68B. It is in surprisingly good condition with some gloss remaining.
The body has an extra cavity, and the pickguard is a white 4-ply with a pearl pattern on the back side, another characteristic of this period. The body is a very clean blonde with minimal color changes due to age.
The neck is a 3MAY68B with a pasted maple neck manufactured around May 1968. The nut and frets are original and show partial fret loss, but playability is good.
Pickups are original with black bobbins on the front and gray bobbins on the rear with staggered polepiece. Rear pickup is 5-3-68. Controls are royal front, mix, and rear output use, and the Pot Date is 137-6612 x 2 '66. Fenders of this period used '66 pots, and you can see evidence of a large stocking in '66. The condenser is also original.
There are some dents and scratches, but the paint is in excellent condition. Of course, there is plenty of room in the truss rod, and playability is excellent. Please enjoy the piercing sound of a Telecaster.
Vintage guitars have been on the rise in recent years. This 1968 Telecaster is one of the most original guitars in the world. The original hard case is in excellent condition.
