This is a Yamaha Tenor Saxophone YTS-6x6. I believe this is a prototype of the first-generation Model 62. Compared to the first-generation Model 62, it has a richer, more substantial tone; my impression is that its sound leans more toward the Selmer style rather than the lightness of the original. Visually, the strap ring is nickel-plated, and it features a U-shaped tube reinforcement plate similar to the Model 875. There are signs of repair on the bell flower, and while it shows some signs of use, I believe the overall condition is well-preserved.Its rich, full-bodied tone—distinct from that of the ’82 model—offers a unique character. All pads have been replaced and the instrument has been fully adjusted.
